ALL dressed up

Hey you,

A promise is a promise.

And if it is a promise to kids, you jolly well make sure you fulfill it, coz from the moment you wake up...

"Ma.. we are going out today right?...you promised....."

And that was at 7am, when I are getting ready to go to the market of a call from grandma.

Yup, to market with granny.

Being the eldest grandchild.....and also the first to give her great grand kiddos, I knew from young that
I was her fav.

From the overseas trips, to the clothes & chocs that I always get.

Hence, it is time I pay back, and be nice.

Well, we went to market....2 at that, coz she believed the fish at that market was better than with meat and vice versa.

I got home from the markets, tired.....and

"Ma..... do we bathe now and change....you promised..."

There we go again. There is no way I can change the day of outing, tired or not, a promise is a promise.

Cooked, got ready and we were out....to catch a live show.

As a promise to someone, I decided to raid my hubby's wardrobe, and left home looking like this:

His linen blue shirt Naracamicie, Italy, his Tommy Hilfiger pleated belt,  his classic watch, my Zara pants & brogues. Not forgetting my new red bag & bangles.

Of course I always expect kids to be dressed appropriately too. Never in T shirts & shorts.

Toddler's Red shoe & boy's moccasin from Start-Rite, England and girl's Barbie high cut shoes.

Kids wear:

Denim top from Cotton on and checkered bermudas from Zara. Accessories from Promod.

Well, dressing well & right starts from young. Hence, I believe that as parents, we need to lead by example. It's not about the brand but the presentation and styling.

You know what I heard when I was at Topshop.

Overheard, one sales assistant telling another, " Look at that, she dresses so nice, & her kids are wearing fashionable stuff too!"

Yes, she was talking about me & me kiddos *Blush*....hehehehehe.

Anyhow, I did not buy all those stuff for kids just, even though somehow it really looked like all those that the are wearing are in fashion now. All items were bought more than a year & a half ago, except the tops were bought in Australia when I was there. It cost me only A$10 each.

See, clothes do not need to be expensive to look nice.

Anyhow, my kids, especially my youngest was elated to watch the live show:

Yup, all the dressing up for Dora!

I am on a hunt for socks. I totally regretted not getting them when I was in Aust. I went all over, and didn't find any to my liking. But while I was at it, I took the opportunity to try on some tops.

Silky top from Dorothy Perkins

From Topshop.
I have to admit something......

I ended up buying BOTH!

It's all coz kids went, "It's so nice...you should buy it."

Well, they're like that coz, they wanted to get out of the fitting room and get to their stuff....

Toys!

I happily, paid....but now I am feeling guilty. Really am.

My socks search was futile, only found the perfect black thin socks,
in the Man's Dept.
Oh well, I guess I have to raid hubby's drawers for socks too!

Now, I really hope the powder & foundation stain on the white collar of hubby's shirt will disappear.

I am hoping, if not, that will be the end of my attempt in menswear.

Wish me luck!

See you later.
