Looking presentable
To boost confidence level
As a sign of respect
Vanity
Well, all these may just be some reasons why we girls, or even guys these days need to
doll up their faces.
I shall be frank here
Unlike some of my peers who started very early enjoying cosmetics, I was pretty much a late
bloomer in that department.
I was going au naturale for the longest time, to be more specific till I was about 21....yup seriously.
But,
It's never too late to catch up.
Now, I its just a ritual I go through when I am going out. But still trying to keep it as natural a look as possible. I was more hooked into make up (actually more of getting techniques right) when I was watching all the make up tutorial on Youtube. All those natural make up look.
Sometimes if you just think about it... isn't it absurd, people piling on lots of make up, to look natural..hah!
Well, it goes for me too. More of creating a flawless look.
There are some basics which are a must for me.
Blusher
Lip Gloss
Mascara
Let's take a peep into my pouch which I bring with me everywhere....
My VERY roomy LV make up pouch
I am addicted to lining my eyes now. I realise it gives character to your whole face. I am more for brown than black though.
My white essential Channel compact is a must over a well moisturized face.
My Neutrogena lip moisturizer and Mac lipstick for a natural lip colour.
My essential brushes that I carry always. Blush, eyeshadow & eye liner brushes.
My basic brown Maybelline eye palette and black Rimmel eye shadow to line my eyes.
These are the basics that I use when I go out or to work. They all fit nicely in my pouch.
But when I have functions to attend or finds the need to be more dramatic.
I will have my add ons..
Blemish busters with Mac's studio sculpt concealer and Mac's paint pot (for eyes) in Rubenesque.I sometimes use the paint point instead of eyeshadow.
Dramatic lashes with Loreal double extension or glossy lips with passion fruit by Estee Lauder.
For looking flawless yet natural, NARS sheer glo foundation
Every girls dream for their eyes. It is also the dream of my girls who has been playing with this palette thinking is water colour!
always remember that we are doing it for ourselves first.
See you later.
