Reasons to dress UP

Hey you,

My life has been uneventful these days,

well uneventful in the area of fashion that is. Definitely bubbling in the mommy-hood department. Cooking, cooking & cooking.

Somehow these days, cooking is taking a larger percentage of my waking hours. So much so that I think of 'What to cook, what to cook, what to cook?!' the moment I wake up.

As much as I always thought cooking is a form of ART, really cooking real food for four kiddos is nothing very artistic I must say. Always making sure there are the greens (my kiddos unlike many live off veges), there is an animal from land (eg. mutton - goat, lamb - lamb or chicken - chicken) and an animal from water (eg fish, squid or prawns).

So today, I kinda cheated, and promised them last night that we will be going off early with lunch out before the show.

Hence, today, I woke up thinking about...

what to wear! Yay for fashion.

I couldn't wait to wear the new tops, and was very inspired by something I saw in thesartorialist.blogspot. So I decided to be dressy, even though it was not required for this 'show' I was going for.

I left looking like this:
My new nude pink Topshop top, black smart pants, my black MAB from Rebecca Minkoff, string of freshwater pearls & House of Harlow bangles.

My nude Álainn head band.

My nude clog.

I finally had the opportunity to put on my dressier head band, which I thought was more suited for weddings or formal functions.

I came into the car and my girl was like 'Your head band, your shirt and shoe all matches! Wow'. You know what?....
even the face of my watch has the same pinkish shade!

Yup, and wearing it against a solid black pants with a shiny sheen kinda highlight the colour even more, rather than looking pale-ish.

Anyhow, my dress sense was definitely really much appreciated by the main star of today's show.....

Barney and friends!

Don't laugh you all. I know it may seem rather pathetic, dressing up for all these kids show, but it was worth it, coz I felt good the whole day and ended the day with Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

Now, back home, reality has set in.

Time to think of 'What to Cook?'

Wish me luck!

See you later
